We joined forces with Mission Bio’s marketing team to create a unifying, focused campaign concept to raise awareness for their revolutionary single-cell DNA analysis platform.
Overview
We helped articulate Mission Bio’s unique benefits, and established alignment on a strategic approach to positioning, messaging, and design. We developed an integrated campaign concept called “Ask the Questions” and generated a multitude of campaign assets to reach specific audiences in the marketing channels they frequent.
Mission Bio is world-changing innovation. Their multi-omics platform “Tapestri” enables high resolution cell analysis, and their applications in oncology and cell and gene therapies are leading to a better understanding of some of the world’s most challenging diseases.
They brought us in to support multiple new product announcements, knowing their marketing needed heavy updating. We knew immediately that the core of what they lacked was a cohesive brand strategy, and a playbook to support all their varied and complex initiatives and campaigns.
We began with a deep discovery phase to get into their vision, technology, and sales challenges. We developed key insights and a campaign strategy based on the powerful reality that Mission Bio enables scientists to ask questions they simply couldn’t ask before. This strategic foundation provided the direction and focus needed to begin a multi-channel effort to reach key opinion leaders in academia and pharma.
Our overarching concept, “Ask the Questions,” became a fully integrated campaign to reach these specific audiences in the channels they frequent. The core concept unified the brand’s direction—highlighting how Mission Bio changes the game across all touchpoints—while maintaining specificity in speaking to unique users with unique needs.
Working closely with Mission Bio’s team, we created a visual approach designed to stand out in an environment fraught with the cliché imagery so many biotech companies settle for. We needed to align with the current brand look, while evolving and expanding with a system that could be logically applied to their various target application segments.
Our dramatic approach to art direction featured abstract images to represent the different areas of research and analysis Mission Bio’s users are engaged in. The work stands out in visually cluttered and important channels, such as trade shows and social media, and has helped to build brand awareness.
The flexible design system we developed enables efficient and cohesive activation of marketing efforts such as email, digital advertising, landing pages, webinars, and collateral design.
Mission Bio is fast moving and in a constant state of innovation to better support new drug therapies, clinical trials, and translational research. Our work has provided consistency, efficiency, differentiation, and impact for their critically important mission in a way that’s practical for them to implement.

“We couldn’t ask for a better partner than Less And More. They have been a valuable extension of our Mission Bio marketing team, helping us with multiple product launches, supporting us with campaign creation and activation throughout the entire process.
Their team had a very clear vision for the campaign, working diligently to ensure we met each and every deadline.”
